17th Sept | Last shift at No 3 ^new No 8 shaft West shaft. Sunk bend 200 feet long from vertical to angle of 60degrees below 5th level commencing about 60 feet below. The shaft is 950 feet deep. Closing down to erect new headgear |
18th Sept | Started sinking No4 ^changed to No9 main shaft days pay |
1st Oct | Started on contract sinking No 4 shaft £95 clear |
